We are seeking a talented leader to drive the evolution of our data and operational strategy to enable high quality, high velocity business decision making. You will own and be responsible for leading the product development lifecycle and set the strategy for your service to evolve and scale, enabling its customers to meet growing Amazon business needs without becoming a bottleneck. This leader will be fluent in a range of strategic and analytical approaches to product and technical leadership, including the ability to build compelling value propositions, influence stakeholders, and provide clarity on complex systems and dynamics via rigorously refined written and verbal communication
This role combines the best of both the program management and organizational transformation discipline, requiring a unique blend of technical, strategic, and leadership abilities may include skills in using data visualization tools); exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including executives, builders and end-users; ability to identify, assess, and proactively manage risks, including technical, financial, and operational risks, to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Key job responsibilities
- Define and drive the multi-year vision and technical approach for your product portfolio and the team
- Work with senior business leaders across various BUs and finance leaders.
- Deliver PRFAQS, and BRD docs.
- Explore the use of generative AI to enhance ES operational products and generate deeper customer insights
- Influence multiple VP-led organizations on their investment approaches and priorities
- Collaborate with Senior Data Engineers and BIEs across organizations to define scalable technical approaches
- Own the branding approach and go-to-market strategy for new-to-world products and experiences
- Navigate ambiguity to define org-wide product strategy and annual prioritization

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
