The ideal candidate has a passion for technology services and how they can be used to drive business outcomes in an enterprise IT environment, the ability to transform complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand messaging and materials, and experience building and improving scalable mechanisms. Must-haves for this role are a proven track record of excelling in a data-driven organization and the ability to work directly with senior executives as well as get hands-on with cross-functional teams.

Key job responsibilities
• Own marketing strategy for key AWS Cloud Operations solution areas such as centralized operations management
• Land key launches for services such as AWS Systems Manager and AWS CloudTrail at our largest marketing moments such as AWS re:Inforce and AWS re:Invent
• Develop messaging & positioning, use cases, value propositions, and marketing content, partnering with engineering, digital marketing, sales, business development, public relations, analyst relations, and partner marketing as needed
• Leverage owned, earned, and paid channels to reach our customers and help grow their understanding and usage of AWS
• Test and refine new marketing approaches and channels to reach and engage key audiences
• Work at both the strategic and tactical level and champion bold and creative ideas
A day in the life
As Senior Product Marketing Manager for AWS Cloud Operations, you will have the opportunity to own and drive the marketing strategy to help customers build and run resilient, highly available applications in the AWS cloud. You will work with product and engineering teams to shape the product vision and prioritize features. You will own creation of content that drives awareness, preference, and adoption of AWS, and scale our messaging through key launches and channels including the website, events, and more. You will partner cross-functionally with GTM, sales, training, and other counterparts to build the right marketing programs to drive customer engagement and service adoption. And you will own and drive the value propositions for operating on AWS that meet key customer use cases and convey AWS’s unique value.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis
- Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
