We are looking for a Senior HR Leader to join our AWS Industries team to support one of our coolest commercial teams. In this position, you will focus on the formulation of our people and organization strategy, building of appropriate mechanisms, and executing people priorities that enable business performance and foster the employee experience.

Job responsibilities include the following:
- Partner with business leaders to formulate people and organization strategy, mitigate risks, and drive results in a dynamic and often ambiguous high growth environment.
- Work across multiple functions to develop talent and accelerate retention.
- Review and improve processes in partnership with key stakeholders and service teams.
- Work with line managers and employees to address various employee relations issues, operating as a neutral fact finder.
- Lead the annual HR efforts relating to talent and performance management, compensation management, strategic workforce and succession planning and leadership development for respective client groups.
- Drive operational excellence and efficiency in HR processes to enable the organization to hire and develop talent at scale and consistently to Amazon principles.

Preferred locations are diverse and our customers are based in several locations such as Seattle, New York City, Detroit, and Munich. Other corporate offices locations will be considered depending on candidate experience and relative location to key stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in human resources or business management
- 10+ years of professional HR or HR management experience.
- 10+ years of broad experience and specific knowledge of human resource theory, including employee development and performance appraisal systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience multi-state and international employment laws.
- Passion for data, innovative HR solutions and process improvement. A keen interest in experimentation.
- Successful record of building and improving operational processes and procedures, ability to drive program efficiency and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- High proficiency in excel. Proficiency in data visualization tools is a bonus.
- Experience working in a start-up like environment where the pace is quick and your responsibilities stretch between strategic and tactical.
- A graduate degree in Human Resources or social science is preferred.
- Strong ownership and attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem solving skills, critical thinking, and willingness to be vocally self-critical.
- Able to manage workflow, with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced environment with multiple and sometimes changing priorities.
- Proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and make the best use of limited resources.
- Able to identify a business challenge, articulate it into a problem statement and then solve it using data, science and/or art.
- Exceptional analytical skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $139,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $230,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
