AWS Finance seeks Senior Finance Manager to lead the Bandwidth Services which is at the core of every AWS service and multiple emerging networking products. This role will drive controllership of the Bandwidth Services P&L and will be responsible for managing financial support to help drive the right decisions on key business activities like pricing strategies for these products for external/internal customers, new region launches, customer deals, and new service/product launches. This role requires strong business sense with a capability to independently drive business partnership and have a structured approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
The successful candidate should possess strong leadership skills and business acumen, should be capable of influencing the organization to drive results, and have a passion for improving existing processes. This is a highly visible role across AWS Services and Infrastructure leadership team with tremendous opportunity to make an impact. A successful candidate will rely on data to answer abstract questions and partner with the business to influence the future of cloud computing products. This role requires a strong problem solver with excellent financial modeling and systems background, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations, and solid skills in project management. The candidate must be comfortable weighing trade-offs and aligning prioritization decisions across leadership teams; This role also has close interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.



Key job responsibilities
- Lead short and long-term financial planning process including usage/ revenue forecast.
- Serve as a key business partner working directly with AWS senior management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial narratives, analysis, and recommendations
- Partner with AWS services (e.g. Compute, Storage & Edge) and infrastructure teams to drive network cost optimization initiative and identifying traffic shaping opportunities.
- Drive large scale automation projects while partnering with tech teams on automation initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience
- 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
- 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- 3+ years of performing financial and ad hoc analysis using data reporting tools experience
- 10+ years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience
- 8+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 8+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 8+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 8+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 7+ years of directly managing and leading a team of 10+ members experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
