Amazon Web Services is seeking an Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to lead the Partner Analytics roadmap of our fast growing Professional Services organization. This is a unique opportunity to invent new ways of leveraging our large, complex data streams to enable the organization to scale and accelerate our enterprise customers' journey to the cloud. This is a high-visibility and high business impact role.

In this role, you will own the development and adoption for business intelligence tools that impact leaders across the world. You will work closely with business planning and finance teams to achieve business objectives and communicate insights to key stakeholders. You will implement best practices in reporting and analysis, including data integrity, visualization design, and documentation; and drive results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Key job responsibilities
* Own, design, develop, document, and manage scalable solutions for new and ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, visualizations, and dashboards to support business needs
* Use data mining, data modelling, data warehousing, and other analytical techniques to develop and maintain customer segmentation and predictive models to drive the business
* Own and develop queries and data visualizations for ad-hoc, recurring, troubleshooting requests and projects, as well as for ongoing reporting by leveraging MySQL, Redshift, and QuickSight skillsets
* Develop and launch new metrics, improve the inspection points for existing metrics, and identify correlations and root causes.
* Improve the adoption of self-service analytical tools by acting as a subject matter expert (SME) and deliver training to global teams.
* Perform regular audits and improvements to data systems to ensure complete and accurate reporting.
* Conduct statistical and trend analysis to identify opportunities, highlight strengths, and provide recommended corrective actions.
* Develop programs, methodologies, and reports for analyzing and presenting data.
* Collaborate with the business stakeholders, product management, and engineering partner teams to influence and guide their development roadmaps.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience with forecasting and statistical analysis
- Master's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing better understanding of the performance of the business
- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
