The Brand Strategist will meaningfully contribute to brand and campaign initiatives for the cloud computing market leader, informing brand identity, design, and creative content including events, marketing campaigns, long-form and short-form videos, and beyond. This role will work closely with Brand leadership and Senior Brand Strategists to gather various inputs (marketing or business objectives and insights, market and customer research, analytics and brand studies, social and cultural trends, creative opportunities) to identify novel customer insights and brand opportunities, and creating frameworks and mechanisms enable the larger marketing organization.
Key job responsibilities
* Conduct, analyze, and synthesis customer and market research to inform brand and marketing outputs
* Identify novel customer insights and brand opportunities to drive consistent, high-bar creative which positively shift perceptions and grows our business
* Contribute to the development of foundational brand guidance including positioning, architecture and portfolio strategy, naming, and brand identity
* Collaborate with design and marketing partners to define the brand experience across the customer experience including visual expression, voice and tone, messaging, channel, and format
* Provide inputs to campaign strategies and creative briefs that articulate insights that will inspire creative teams, and provide measureable creative and content strategies
* Build out brand training materials for marketing stakeholders and peers
* Participate in open and productive strategic debates that result in the best possible outcomes for customers
* Manage multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic, culture.
* Collaborate and build relationships with marketing stakeholders across AWS, as well as usability, business, and development teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, on-brand customer experiences

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years' experience in marketing or brand management inside advertising agencies, brand strategy consultancies, or in-house marketing organizations
- Experience contributing to brand positioning, voice and tone, and visual system development for large organizations with complex product and service offerings
- Experience working with marketing stakeholders and brand creative teams to define and maintain clear and durable visual brand systems across several partner and customer touch points
- Experience managing multiple projects and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines
- Ability to work cross-team and synthesize feedback from multiple teams/owners
- Proven ability to influence and obtain buy-in for creative ideas
- Experience presenting and championing work to senior executives
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or similar field OR an additional 4+ years' marketing experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience providing inputs and ideas customer insights, creative and brand strategy for omni-channel marketing campaigns including long-form and short-form videos
- Experience defining mechanisms for using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- Experience managing external agency relationships

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $108,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
