Join the Amazon Software Builder Experience Learning (ASBX Learning) team to create engaging and effective learning experiences that power all software builders at Amazon. This is a highly collaborative role and you will partner with a variety of subject matter experts to create learning experiences to shepherd builders through their journey at Amazon, from onboarding to push the boundaries innovation.

As the Technical Training Manager you will be responsible for leading the curriculum development team to analyze, design and develop high quality training content for all Software Builders at Amazon. This role focuses on owning the curriculum development and program management required to meet the learning needs of our software builders globally throughout the full employee lifecycle including new hire training and continuing education.


Key job responsibilities
* Growing a team of technical curriculum developers
* Manage a curriculum portfolio to ensure accurate and up to date training materials
* Lead your team to manage multiple projects and programs concurrently
* Establish and oversee consistent processes to effectively and efficiently design and develop training materials and programs to best suit the needs of the audience
* Leverage rapid, agile development techniques, and technology such as Gen AI for optimization and automation
* Oversee and contribute to the design and development of exercises, tutorials, job aids, assessments, and other methods of learning including social or connected learning strategies
* Measure, track and report impact assessments of training programs developed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* Degree in Education, Computer Science, or a related field; in lieu of this degree, relevant work experience will be considered.
* 5+ years of learning experience design for technical audiences.
* 2+ years of team management experience
* 5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Experience with adult learning theory, course facilitation, human performance improvement, and knowledge management.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to deliver high quality documentation at appropriate level of detail.
* Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with teams and stakeholders.
* Proven track record of delivering large, cross-functional projects.
* Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
* Experience with Agile development methodologies
* Experience with AWS services and ability to understand systems and networking issues.
* Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $236,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
