This position will need to be flexible and creative in tackling those new challenges.
Key job responsibilities
This position will engage with engineering teams across multiple SVP organizations to influence roadmaps and prioritize efforts, requiring strength in ability to Earn Trust and Deliver Results. The Senior Technical Program Manager will track progress against goals and support sequencing the resources based on variables such as complexity, cost and security benefits, and adjacency to other systems which enable higher levels of abstraction. The right candidate will have a proven track record of planning and delivering complex programs with multi-year roadmaps. They will have experience driving architectural change across large organization(s) and handling communication for developers up to technical engineering leaders.

The Amazon Software Builder Experience (ASBX) organization has a mission of creating the world’s best builder experience across tens of thousands of software engineers, and all Amazon businesses (e.g., AWS, Amazon Stores, etc.). Our Builder Tools team in ASBX owns the software development tools Amazon software teams use to develop, release, and manage their software. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience with containers, EC2, Linux, and other cloud compute virtualization technologies.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
