As a Full Stack Software Engineer on the Amazon Shopping Videos, you will develop a best in class video discovery and viewing experience across mobile and desktop, building highly available and scalable services that power compelling interactivity features WW. This team owns and manages the Amazon Native Player (ANP)'s Interactivity components. It also manages a central Chat solution used for livestreaming and by other teams like LastMile, ProductQuality for their chat solutions.
You will work on building and operating fun, unique, and helpful interactivity features that enable customers to engage and connect with video content, creators and other viewers. These features include 1:many (Ex: Polls, Discounts, Giveaways, Exclusive Deals) and many:many (Ex: Chat, Comments, social proofing metadata - likes, views, etc). You will bring your expertise and ideas in the areas of distributed computing, low latency scalable architecture, UI and mobile design, performance and metrics reporting to help our fast-paced business grow and evolve.

Key job responsibilities
1. Design and implement large-scale backend infrastructure and API.
2. Architect and provide guidance on building End-to-End system optimized for speed and scale.
3. Create simple and elegant user experiences to support desktop computers, mobile devices and FireTV, in collaboration with UX designers, Product Managers, and other Software Engineers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
