The role of Social Responsibility Principal act as the single threaded owner of the AWS social responsibility strategy and strategic advisor to AWS senior leaders on the topic. There is room to drive material impact in this role, and we are looking for a candidate with a proven track record of delivering results in ambiguous, complex areas which required leadership and cross-functional buy-in.

Key job responsibilities
1. Leverage Amazon’s enterprise-wide social responsibility strategy and rightsize it for the AWS risk profile in response to current and emerging regulatory requirements and external expectations.
2. Own the deployment of resources with AWS leadership and action plans with AWS teams to mitigate risks, meet goals and track progress through risk and performance reporting.
3. Partner with Amazon Social Responsibility to leverage tools, mechanisms and policies to help AWS teams integrate human rights risk management into decision making and business plans
4. Represent AWS externally on human rights related initiatives and forums

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree in business, social justice, technology, environmental or related field, or equivalent experience
2. 7+ years of program or project management experience
3. 7+ years of defining and implementing complex initiatives that require influencing cross-functional team priorities and senior leadership decisions
4. 3+ years experience in or related to advancing human rights, social justice or diversity and inclusion

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
2. Proven ability to engage with senior leadership, suppliers and customers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $149,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
