AWS Data Center Learning is responsible for providing training and career development based learning paths to all new and existing data center technicians world-wide. Our team is constantly looking to optimize the training experience and provide our field operations teams with the highest skilled workforce.

The Learning Experience Designer will ensure that we’re aligned to the highest value learning opportunities to not only improve our learner experience, but to drive internal development processes as well. Responsibilities include working with cross-functional teams on process optimization and training content development that supports reduction in time-to-productivity and decrease in error rates for Data Center roles. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced, highly engaged environment, and has the ability to connect the dots organizationally, network effortlessly and influence various roles, levels and profiles to drive collaboration, as well as grow fellow designers and develop the best.

Key job responsibilities
•Design, develop, and deploy training as part of a blended learning strategy
•Partner with cross-functional teams to build out development experiences with a global mindset
•Solve business problems with focus on understanding root causes and driving forward-looking opportunities
•Work with technical SMEs to design and create engaging end user training
•Manage multiple curricula development projects simultaneously
•Develop training materials that align to a blended training delivery strategy, including and not limited to: self-directed, instructor led (ILT), virtual (vILT), and hands-on practical training
•Measure impact and quickly revise content/modality to address specific feedback, as needed
•Create reliable and valid learner evaluation tools to gauge knowledge and skill transfer
•Drive use of evaluation and performance data to improve learning content
•Work with global stakeholders to program manage technical training program

This position must be able to sit onsite a minimum of 3 days per week.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

•BA or BS degree in a relevant field such as instructional technology, educational technology, organizational development or 3+ years of relevant experience in instructional design
•3+ Years developing and executing strategies, development and delivery of creative and innovative training solutions
•3+ years of experience developing training in a variety of delivery modalities
•Experience program managing learning and development projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•Experience working as a consultant in a corporate or start up environment.
•Experience working with remote teams and an international audience
•Obsessed about the customer experience, high standards, and continually inspire others to do better for the customer
•Experience gathering, building, interpreting, and communicating performance metrics to multiple organizational levels
•Experience creating training for high tech industry
•Technical aptitude to be able to quickly learn new technologies and develop various learning solutions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
