Amazon Web Services is looking for a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to expand our Edge Infrastructure.
In this position you will be responsible for prioritization, scheduling and execution of network changes and upgrades across Amazon Data Centers. You will manage our cross-functional projects, which require working with multiple AWS internal departments and groups including network operations, network engineering staff and internal project management teams, as well as external vendors. You will develop and manage project schedules, identify risks and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders, define problem solving and risk mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolution through the full project cycle. A background in IT infrastructure, technology deployment or computer science is essential for your success in this position. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of project completions that are on time and within budget. A candidate with demonstrated ability to lead others in a technical environment through facilitation of technical whiteboard sessions, deep diving project risks and issues and coordinating implementations to remove barriers to project success will thrive in this environment.
Key job responsibilities
• Monitor the network infrastructure health, customer demand, anticipate risks, resolve issues and initiate corrective action as appropriate.
• Work with stakeholders (networking engineers/tech program managers/senior management) to define requirements and processes.
• Manage the dependencies and the interfaces between projects and negotiate the trade-offs as needed.
• You actively participate in the hiring process as well as mentor others - improving their skills and ability to get things done.Manage multiple competing cross-organizational projects/programs simultaneously
• Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers and senior management on a daily basis
• Analyze, interprete and visualize data, with Redshift, Oracle, Tableau, QuickSight, Redshift, and other BI management and visualization tools.

Planning future projects, coordinating design and requirements discussions and driving commitment from stakeholder teams to ensure project are started and finish on time. GCNA Deployment team responsible for the timely delivery of Border Networking deployments for AWS. Team members own their deliverables end-to-end within a defined geographic scope of ownership.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant IT Discipline
- 5+ years of project management experience
- 5+ years of Data Centre and/or Network Deployment experience
- 5+ years experience in deploying/operation in Layer 2/Layer 3 networks including DWDM, load balancers, and content delivery networks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience in the management of complex technology infrastructure projects
- Experience with and deep understanding of multiple project management methodologies.
- Familiarity with the AWS network architecture.
- 5+ years experience in Physical fiber plant OSP/ISP
- Excellent multi-tasking and prioritizing skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
