The Kuiper Infrastructure Finance team is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to support a multimillion-dollar division focusing in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and strategic collaboration with Kuiper Enterprise Technology. This role encompasses critical financial planning cycles such as Month-End Close, Quarterly Guidance forecasts, and Annual Operating Plans, alongside continuous controllership responsibilities. This position offers substantial visibility within the Kuiper Infrastructure business team, presenting an exceptional opportunity for ambitious candidates seeking to excel. Key stakeholders include Kuiper's central FP&A, business finance, accounting, and operations teams.

The successful candidate will need to be strategic, analytical, and have the demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment. The team needs a self-starter, who is able to work efficiently and autonomously. The candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically and manage multiple competing priorities effectively. A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to improve and create new measures for business effectiveness, innovate creative solutions utilizing large scale data mining tools, and identify high priority projects to maximize results for key stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead month end, quarterly, annual operating financial planning working cross functionally with various teams, including business finance, accounting, and business operations.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization of processes, implement best practices and deliver automation throughout month-end close and financial planning cycles.
- Analyze complex financial data and provide accurate and timely reports to key stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Support the month-end close process and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Deliver detailed variance analysis, identifying risks and opportunities, and effectively communicate results to senior leadership in order to influence tactical and strategic business decisions.
- Develop financial models for new business concepts and resulting financial impact to help drive data driven decision making.
- Work with big data and transforming it into insights and information.
- Participate in Finance initiatives, including but not limited to process improvements, ad hoc analyses, and preparation of periodic reporting activities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or Bachelor's degree
- Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
