It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion dollar business and we are looking for an entrepreneurial minded Finance Manager to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about technology, manufacturing and FP&A, who thinks/acts globally, and has the ability to create and implement solutions, processes and controls.
Project Kuiper seeks a Finance Manager to build out the FP&A team's Insights and Analytics function, with a focus on revenue and gross profit analysis and monthly reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to shape financial processes from the ground up in a new, high-growth team.
The ideal candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have a demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. This role requires regular interaction with senior executives, various business units, and multiple stakeholders across Amazon, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust revenue and gross profit analysis frameworks
- Create and automate monthly financial reports for senior leadership
- Build scalable financial models and processes to support the team's growth
- Provide strategic insights to drive data-driven decision making
- Build out and enhance P&L models for new and existing businesses, develop business insights and KPI dashboards, and lead ad hoc analyses
- Work with big data, transforming it into insights and information
- Identify opportunities to proactively resolve defects; improve, scale, or simplify finance tools across teams and organizations
- Participate in Finance initiatives, including but not limited to process improvements, ad hoc analyses, and preparation of periodic reporting activities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience delivering cross functional projects.
- 5+ years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, Tableau, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Relevant experience in positions that require analysis and reporting financial results.
- Strong command of Financial and Accounting fundamentals.
- Advanced financial modelling and excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence decisions through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning and the presentation of options and their implications including insights into interactions with other areas of the business.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
