As a member of the Kuiper Workplace Ops (KWO) Facilities team, the Construction Project Manager will lead internal and external teams in delivering design and construction for Kuiper office, R&D, and production environments. This role will have oversight of construction projects across the Americas Kuiper portfolio, including expansions, retrofits, new builds and any other unique requests within occupied space (post-occupancy projects).

The optimal candidate is an experienced, persistent professional who will excel within an entrepreneurial, innovative culture – providing vision, leadership, and communication – but not afraid to dive into details.

The successful candidate must be comfortable operating on both strategic and tactical levels, simultaneously acting as a visionary, an internal ambassador, educator, analyst, solutions architect, and implementer. Develop and deliver consistent strategies for supporting and leading project teams, standardize planning and due diligence, design oversight, implementation and construction best practices for all Kuiper projects.

Collaborate with stakeholders to determine objectives, scope, space allocation, cost, prioritization and sequencing of requests. Provide oversight of project management services and manage vendor performance on projects to ensure timely completion, compliance with cost requirements, and other requirements and regulations.

- Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of small and large multi-discipline projects involving design of aerospace production projects including civil/structural/mechanical design direction and review, planning, construction support, and customer coordination
- Develop project mechanisms to gather complex and nuanced project requirements and to help drive successful site selection. A background in technical engineering or manufacturing will be a positive.
- Due to the complexity of these projects multiple consultants with relevant experience are often required. Ensure appropriate resources are allocated to complete the projects in accordance with the overall strategy.
- Oversee project QA/QC and work with Project Team, Finance, EHS, Area Managers (VSL's), FM and related stakeholders
- Guidance of design, including but not limited to specialty equipment and infrastructure needs, space plans, finishes, etc.
- Oversee and guide the project team to ensure regulatory compliance with local/ governing jurisdictions
- Guidance of construction, including selection of contractors, contract negotiations, approvals of budgets, change orders, procurement and contracting methods, schedule, and subcontractors.
- Evaluations, approvals, or rejections of design changes by customers and designers.
- Influence design guidelines, including minimum specifications, basis of design for various building systems, etc.

Export Control Requirement:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of project management, real estate development, or architecture/design experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture or equivalent work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems
- Experience with Aerospace, Defense and Government programs
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,600/year in our highest geographic market.
