Kuiper's Global Trade & Compliance team is seeking an experienced risk and compliance professional to join our cross-functional collective of trade and compliance experts. We develop compliance frameworks, standardize technical compliance controls, and develop continuous compliance monitoring. We focus on compliance regulations, policies and other obligations impacting Kuiper in the global geographies where Kuiper operates.
Key job responsibilities
• Provide subject matter expertise to manage compliance workflow mechanisms
• Manage workflow processes to maintain program compliance
• Perform regular audits for risk assessment and innovate audit control mechanisms
• Maintain Contingent Workforce Standard Operating Procedures, workflows and simplify processes
• Manage metrics for reporting to meet business goals and compliance requirements
• Analyze and audit compliance transactions
• Effectively lead cross-functional projects, with a focus on efficiency and scalability
• Proven analytical capabilities; experience with large amounts of data and in developing audit reports, metrics, and reporting mechanisms
• Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and drive results
• Experience writing policy, and adapting requirements to technical and business needs
• Experience working in a global, large-scale, complex, and fast-paced environment
• Problem solver, able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary; sense of accountability and sound professional judgment
• Highly independent and organized
Export Control Requirement

A day in the life
As a Kuiper Compliance Specialist, the candidate will be an individual contributor accountable for optimizing cross-team processes that improve compliance mechanisms and manage cross-functional processes. They will be responsible for consulting with key stakeholders to drive alignment at both the tactical and strategic level. The role involves working closely with Legal, Tax, Procurement, Supply Chain, Professional & Temp Hiring teams, and a variety of external Amazon partners to ensure compliance and risk management at scale.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of experience in compliance or risk management role or similar professional experience
• 3+ years of program management experience, including change management, project management, stakeholder management, user training, and communications or similar professional experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with contingent workforce or contractor compliance and export control
• Ability to identifying opportunities for process simplification
• Adapt quickly to changing demands; and demonstrate critical inquiry, attention to details, and the ability to effectively articulate recommendations/conclusions verbally and in writing
• Demonstrate delivering multiple, high priority projects at the same time; managing stakeholders with different perspectives, including influencing without authority

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $91,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $196,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
