Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.The Space Simulation team will provide screening and testing of satellite hardware. The lab has the capability to perform testing in the R&D, Proto-Flight, Qualification and Flight test phases. This will be done utilizing equipment in the lab such as electrodynamic shakers, thermal vacuum chambers, thermal cycling chambers and other equipment to simulate the space environment.As a Space Simulation Lab Support Technician, you will be responsible for performing various tasks throughout the facility. Integration & Test Technician III, Project Kuiper

We are seeking talented Integration Technicians to lead development and production integration and test activities of the Kuiper satellite. Key job responsibilities- Functional and environmental testing, repair and troubleshooting of Kuiper phased array antenna PCBA's- Integration of the Kuiper satellite and various complex subassemblies in a cleanroom and ESD controlled environment- Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, multimeters, optical inspection devices, micrometers and calipers- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation- Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions- Use computer software programs for controlling tests- Check and inspect your work after completion to ensure engineering and quality standards are met per the drawing and work instruction requirements- Collaborate with manufacturing and test engineers to develop and document activities, including continuous improvement opportunities- Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient, safe and effective work environmentThe starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $37.00/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure.
