This role will be responsible for identifying internal and external solutions to business requirements, designing and setting up complex integrations into and out of Salesforce platform Using Managed AWS Services. A Systems Dev Engineer will design and develop enterprise solutions using AWS services to make Salesforce more efficient and scalable. The engineer will build and deploy efficient, scalable integrations that align with Amazon Shipping Business Development needs.

Key job responsibilities
As a Systems Development Engineer in the Amazon Shipping team, you’ll have a unique opportunity to innovate on behalf of the sales and marketing team and provide tooling so that we can continue scaling for a global user base while raising the bar on security yet ensuring a smooth customer experience.
In this role, you will:
* Design/build/deploy new solutions and capabilities for improving the efficiency and customer experience for CRM.
* Implement processes and mechanisms to audit and ensure we continue maintaining our high bar of operational monitoring and security of integrations.
* Engage with systems that operate at a very large scale, pioneering new methods and approaches to delivering software, serving customers, and enabling large, distributed, worldwide sales teams.
* Work directly with other cross functional teams, product teams and business leaders to identify opportunities to share learnings, technology and best practices across all teams within Amazon using Salesforce.
* Leverage strong communication skills and a passion for using data and software to drive business decisions at scale

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience leading the delivery of large-scale systems focused on managing the infrastructure layer of the technology stack
- Technical expertise in at least one major technical area: large scale Unix systems engineering, building complex distributed systems, building monitoring or management tools for large-scale environments
- Experience leading development life cycle process and best practices
- Experience with Agile Management (SCRUM, RUP, XP), OO Modeling, working on internet, UNIX, Middleware, and database related projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience building services using AWS products
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Knowledge of database systems and SQL
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Experience with usage of cloud services and integrating with Salesforce.
- Experience with SQL or Redshift and pulling data via queries
- Passion for customer experience and usability, including successful delivery of customer self-service tools and automated management/optimization of services, and a strong services orientation
- Experience mentoring/training the engineering community on complex technical issues
- Master’s degree or higher preferred

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
