As a (Senior) Strategic Supply Chain Manager with a Procurement Background, you'll take end-to-end ownership of operations focusing on the strategic relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

You will be instrumental in identifying and leading strategic sourcing activities to lower the overall total cost of ownership for Amazon operations. The team is dedicated to ensuring equipment and service availability to meet business owner requirements. We are seeking individuals who can drive sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and execute contracts. Key job responsibilities
• Establish sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and execute contracts to drive cost savings.
• Drive and manage supplier relationships to enhance collaboration and achieve business goals.
• Manage high spend categories, being accountable for cost savings, with a minimum of $80M in category spend.
• Lead strategic sourcing activities to lower the overall total cost of ownership for Amazon operations.
• Develop and negotiate framework agreements to reduce risk and support local teams in project-specific needs.



About the team
The Amazon Logistics Supply Chain team owns the supply chain set-up and readiness for all new programs and products across multiple engineering categories (equipment, fixtures consumables etc.). We bring last & middle mile's ambitious goals to life by partnering with a wide set of stakeholders in Worldwide Engineering, WHS, Design, Operations and Procurement. We program manage vendors during the design, deployment, and change management stages. We partner internally and externally to deliver program milestones, cost, quality and sustainability.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or related fields.
- 2+ years of strategic sourcing and procurement operations experience in indirect categories.
- 2+ years of demonstrated analytical skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables at minimum)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree or MBA in relevant fields.
- Specific experience in driving process improvements in procurement.
- Technical aptitude and familiarity with complex procurement systems.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
