The Capacity Management team builds and manages systems that are the authoritative source for modeling, and exposing capacity information to network planning, fulfillment optimization and execution systems. These systems model capacity over an extended time horizon into the future and also account for capacity utilization in real time. Risk Management systems are responsible for monitoring & detecting network risk from capacity utilization or committed capacity variations due to controllable & un-controllable reasons and automatically driving corrective action to mitigate risk. Workflow systems are responsible for orchestrating the operational execution of shipments by coordinating the interaction between between ordering, payments, fulfillment, warehousing and transportation systems as customer shipments flow through Amazon's fulfilment pipeline. These systems are foundational to Amazon's supply chain.
Our software systems include services that make business decisions impacting billions of dollars a year, worldwide. With rapid expansion into new geographies, innovations in supply chain, delivery models and customer experience, increasingly complex supply chain network, ever expanding selection of products and growing number of shipments worldwide, we have an opportunity to build software that scales to the business, leads the industry through innovation and delights millions of customers worldwide.
As a Senior TPM, you will be driving mission critical programs which will shape Amazon's future. You will be working with operations partners to understand how capacity is modeled, forecasted and consumed across supply chain network resources. You will be working with software engineers to define how and at what grain those capacity inputs should be modelled in our systems and the behavior of these models. You will be working with applied scientists to define scientific models to detect anomalies in committed capacities over time and building systems that help us understand network bottlenecks that have a limiting influence over network performance.
