We are looking for a talented, experienced, and driven Program Manager to lead the management of our growing number of devices packaging User Experience (UX) development within the Device Packaging Experience (DPX) team. The ideal candidate will have experience in driving complex programs with a high degree of ambiguity. Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Creative Packaging Program Manager (CPPM), you will drive and manage the global creative development and best-in-class packaging UX design for Amazon devices. You will execute packaging UX design programs from concept development through final production. You will establish relationships with stakeholders and collaborate closely with designers, engineers, product managers, go-to-market, legal, content managers, offline, brand strategist, copywriters, and other managers to support the launch of new and sustaining devices. You will also support initiatives, such as customer experience improvements, sustainability, or process improvements.

A day in the life
In this role, you will:
- Lead the management of US and INTL packaging UX design development from start to finish, which includes design development, print production, localization, and handoff of final artwork to the supplier.
- Lead collaborative efforts and work with cross-functional teams, 3P vendors, and suppliers. Your responsibility will include, but not limited to, communicating schedules & next steps, obtaining design direction, production and localization requirements, content (text and assets), and driving execution with accuracy.
- Create and manage creative development program schedules. Forecast and plan resources for assigned programs.
- Delegate and prioritize tasks to creative resources.
- Schedule and facilitate reviews with internal stakeholders and leadership.
- Manage other creative or internal projects as assigned.
- Develop and/or support initiatives to optimize cross team mechanisms.

The Global Creative Program Management team within DPX has a mission to deliver best-in-class packaging and publications around the world by leveraging UX methodology, innovation, and operational excellence to delight customers and exceed business demands. We are a team of inter-disciplinary and geographically distributed PM, Creative Ops, and Copywriter.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, UX Program Management, Graphic Design, Marketing, Communication or related studies.
- 7+ years of professional experience in packaging design program management or equivalent.
- Strong expertise in managing multi-regions, complex projects and demonstrated ability to lead teams through ambiguity.
- Experience leading and facilitating cross-functional design reviews, as well as ideation & bug bash sessions, ensuring active participation and diverse perspectives across remote, hybrid and in-person formats.
- Experience prioritizing concurrent activities and focus to align with business goals.
- Experience with web-based project management software (Wrike, JIRA or like).
- Experience with web-based proofing tools (Ziflow, ProofHQ, or like).
- Familiarity with Design tools such as Adobe CS (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat), Figma.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas to audiences across all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-driven work environment.
- Can easily shift from thinking big to rolling up your sleeves to execute smaller tasks.
- UX Program or Project management experience in a design agency/in-house creative environment
- Experience in both packaging structure and creative artwork development.
- Ability to multi-task and manage a high volume of packaging activities with constant changes.
- Enthusiasm for getting “hands on” in collaborative team environments
- Proven ability to balance long-term visioning with immediate needs
- Passion for learning and innovation.
- Knowledge of printing processes.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
