Amazon is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead North America's vehicle allocation initiatives for our Last Mile delivery fleet. You will be responsible for building the long-term fleet allocation strategy including determining the number of branded vehicles allocated to each DSPs. Because of the impact, this is a highly visible role with senior leaders and decisions makers in Amazon operations. The role will regularly lead business and planning reviews with senior operations leaders. It is also a highly innovative space requiring the incumbent to use a quantitative and analytical approach balanced by business judgment to determine the fleet capacity strategy. The role requires the leader to span strategic and tactical issues with ease, and obsess on DSP experience.
Key job responsibilities
• Own branded fleet capacity planning. Have a long term vision and build an aligned allocation strategy.
• Employ technology and algorithms to build a scalable, logical yet simplified fleet allocation process. Partner with operations, research science and BIE teams to design and build solution and measure results in execution.
• Lead reviews with operations senior leadership on fleet planning.
• Monitor and report on the progress in fleet capacity build and utilization.
• Build a strong partnership with all operations functions to track vehicle deployment, measure, control and respond to any variation.
• Be obsessed with DSP experience by building realistic fleet capacity plans and tracking compliance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Strong analytical skills combined with proficiency in Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
- 5+ years of experience with Supply Chain management concepts such as forecasting, planning, optimization, or logistics
- Python/R and SQL (or other query language) experience, or experience working with data science and optimization models a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
