We are looking for a dynamic, self-starting Senior Business Analyst to guide pricing strategy and business outcomes with analytics and data-driven insights. You will be working in one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments. The insights you generate will allow us to prioritize our product roadmap, inform business and pricing strategy, and improve the customer experience and bottom line performance. You will develop statistical models that help understand underlining drivers of the business and optimize our prices. You will collaborate with leaders from product, research science, engineering, sales, finance, and more. The position requires a candidate who can work cross functionally to develop and define key business questions, build datasets and analytical frameworks which answer those questions, and synthesize those insights into actionable recommendations to audiences of varying technical aptitude. This position will be part of the Worldwide Transportation strategy team, which has global responsibility.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of our customers and supply chain
- Deep dive into large data sets to answer key business questions using SQL, Excel, and other data management systems
- Systematically identify data sources, perform analysis and build data pipelines to influence product roadmaps and business strategy
- Communicate complex insights to stakeholders, both verbally, in writing and through visualization and dashboards
- Perform complex data research to identify opportunities to optimize pricing

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with Excel
- Experience with SQL
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
