World Wide Amazon Stores and G&A People eXperience & Technology (WWAS and G&A PXT) is looking for a Senior Program Manager with excellent project management skills who can think big, lead end to end process execution, cultivate collaborative relationships with the WWAS and G&A PXT team to meet shared goals, and roll up their sleeves to deliver. The Senior Program Manager is a hands-on role that provides programmatic leadership to our WWAS and G&A PXT team and requires strong team collaboration. This role is critical in executing our initiatives to drive functional excellence and process improvement.

As a Senior Program Manager, you understand that building does not happen in a silo, but requires an appreciation for collaboration with global PXT Business Partners, other COE teams, and business leaders. You also know that influencing happens by writing incredible data rich documents, working hard to earn trust, showing tenacity and backbone, and a commitment to doing what’s right. Previous experiences that will help with role fit might include: partnering with product teams or PXT teams to build new systems, mechanisms and/or tools, leading large scale change management initiatives that stick, presenting data insights to senior leaders that lead to global PXT process decisions/implementation.

Ideal candidate will be able to make recommendations and indicate trends to the business leaders to ensure that we provide the highest level of service to our customers.

A day in the life
- You are extremely organized and a detail-oriented professional with experience scaling across a variety of responsibilities.
- You communicate ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences including Directors and VPs. You partner effectively with customers, stakeholders, and partner teams, often influencing without authority.
- You have well-developed project and stakeholder management skills even if you don’t have a formal Project Management background.
- You look around corners and ask the right questions to ensure you can filter through information quickly and bubble up the “need to know” pieces to senior leadership.
- You handle complex initiatives, delivering critical solutions, significant improvements, new mechanisms, or deprecating processes that are no longer needed. These efforts require you to work with multiple teams in or across organizations.
- Your program management practices set a great example to others. You routinely and efficiently deliver the right things. You define clear goals and tasks.
- You effectively identify risks and bring them to the attention of your team and stakeholders with plans for mitigation before they become roadblocks.
- You are a simplifier. You judiciously add, refine, and remove to land at the right solution. Doing so increases the productivity and effectiveness of the teams you work with.
- You uphold a very high standard in preserving confidentiality and trust when dealing with sensitive matters
- You are able to think big but also not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves."
- You have the ability to manage and support multiple priorities simultaneously, have bias for action - orientated on results and driving appropriate solutions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience leading relevant HR operational programs, including experience leading cross-functional, global projects.
- Self-starter who can work independently; with a strong background in building and executing in a highly ambiguous, flexible environment.
- Experience identifying and resolving issues independently, taking initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances.
- Strong bias for action and “get stuff done” attitude.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and organize workload
- Experience leading cross-functional projects with demonstrated ability to lead without authority to achieve results
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to develop and implement operational processes and procedures across geographically distributed teams with demonstrated operational excellence outcomes.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
