The Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team is seeking a qualified Senior Manager to build programs that create a safe workplace and build a world class safety culture in midst of Amazon’s explosive growth. In this role, you will dive deep into Fulfillment Center (FC) Processes, identify risks through data and first-hand experience, build programs and improve processes to eliminate risks, and influence Operations to sustain a culture of safety. This role calls for an individual who is technically smart to gain credibility with customers and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
The Senior Manager role will challenge you to push boundaries and lead transformative innovation while having the autonomy to make rapid data-driven decisions and invent on behalf of FC Operators and Associates. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with members from various teams, including Operations, AFT, AR, IB Supply Chain, Launch, S&OP, Capacity Planning, Finance etc. to deploy solutions at scale.

- Has fulfillment center operational skills to identify and implement solutions that scale with our scale

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- 7+ years of cross functional project delivery experience
- 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 7+ years of team management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Advanced understanding of how functional and technical decisions will impact department and company goals, system performance and scalability, and end user’s needs
- Demonstrated experience delivering results in an ambiguous environment, inclusive of analyzing cost/benefit of proposed projects
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results on technical projects and history of establishing effective process for ongoing programs
- Knowledge of MySQL, Proficient with MS Excel
- Knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques required
- Self-directed travel as necessary
- MBA, MS or MA (Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Retail, Manufacturing or Equivalent)
- 5+ years of experience delivering mission critical technology solutions to scale programs and improve efficiency
- In-depth knowledge and practical skills in applying Lean Six Sigma philosophy and methodology
- Ability to develop and implement operational processes and procedures across geographically distributed teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
