We are seeking an experienced Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead strategic programs to deliver financial systems from concept through execution. In this role, you will envision, advocate, and execute on how Amazon's diverse businesses can seamlessly integrate with FinTech's financial ecosystem. This requires exceptional foresight to design future-proof integration patterns that can evolve with both business needs and regulatory requirements while minimizing changes to business systems. You will work with multiple engineering teams across organizations to define the technical architecture, and partner with our customers across Tax, Accounting, Finance Operations, and others to define and orchestrate scope, work streams, timing, milestones, and communication plan. You will be responsible for influencing organization roadmap priorities, and technical direction. You will represent difficult trade-off decisions and solutions clearly to senior leaders to help them understand decisions and options. You will need to dive deep with the development team and challenge the design as needed to drive technical trade-off decisions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical program management, solving complex technical problems and a proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, user-friendly applications.



Key job responsibilities
Drive technology strategy and product roadmap development across multiple organizations
Influence senior leadership decisions on technical investments and priorities
Identify and solve ambiguous, complex technical problems at scale
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive significantly complex technical initiatives
Create and optimize cross-org structures and sustainable mechanisms
Guide teams toward coherent technology approaches and build consensus across multiple organizations
Identify risks/opportunities in technical strategies while defining integration patterns for diverse business needs
Facilitate the development of detailed project plans to ensure technical teams deliver to the customer requirements
Lead strategic programs impacting Amazon's global financial systems processing billions of dollars annualy

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
