As the Principal, Supply Chain Innovation, the successful candidate will lead the identification and oversight of innovative solutions and products for both inbound and outbound supply chain operations. Leading a dedicated team, this individual will drive impactful and visible projects by collaborating with various internal stakeholders to define network strategies and achieve operational KPIs, thereby upholding Amazon's service commitments.
Additionally, the role encompasses the responsibility for the incubation and realization of novel supply chain strategies within inbound network. The objective is to augment the efficiency and effectiveness of the Amazon fulfillment network, delivering unparalleled customer satisfaction in a cost-effective manner.
Key job responsibilities
- Champion the development and execution of customer-centric strategies, establishing long-term objectives and operational plans.
- Innovate and implement new mechanisms to facilitate coordination and scalability for projects within the Supply Chain Innovation Organization.
- Ensure that project implementations are congruent with program objectives and adapt as necessary to meet evolving requirements.
- Serve as a customer advocate, evaluating projects against success criteria to ensure alignment with customer expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SCOT, ATS, NACF Ops, and GSC, to establish and achieve ambitious organizational goals.
- Define and monitor key performance metrics, conducting regular audits to assess program efficacy.
- Identify and address process inefficiencies through a comprehensive analysis of metrics, proposing operational enhancements such as automation and self-service solutions.
- Document and disseminate clear white papers and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to articulate functional requirements and guide implementation efforts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain, product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology, with a proven track record of leading large-scale projects and initiatives.
- 10+ years of experience combining supply chain, product, and program management skills to drive strategic initiatives focused on process creation, standardization, and improvement, demonstrating an ability to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Demonstrated experience in owning and driving the strategy and definition of supply chain capabilities, with the ability to articulate and execute a clear vision for future product developments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, offering advanced knowledge and strategic thinking skills pertinent to high-level supply chain challenges.
- Professional certifications related to supply chain management, such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), which demonstrate a commitment to the field and an understanding of global supply chain operations.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of effectively articulating ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams towards common goals.
- Familiarity with the latest trends and technologies in supply chain management and logistics, with the ability to leverage technology to solve complex problems and improve customer experience.
- Experience in digital transformation initiatives within the supply chain, leveraging AI, machine learning, and IoT technologies to drive operational efficiency and innovation.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, global environment, highlighting leadership in navigating organizational complexities and driving results.
- Deep understanding of global supply chain networks, including risk management, regulatory compliance, and international trade practices.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
