Network Design sets the medium- and long-term strategy for Amazon Air to keep raising the bar and adapt to evolving customer needs in collaboration with the other Amazon transportation teams. This includes the transition to a 1D delivery network, the integration of external Air Cargo into the network, the evolution of AIR's network topology and fleet strategy, as well as business cases for how AIR can leverage new aviation technologies to deliver smiles sustainably and at low cost.
Key job responsibilities
- Mentor a team of high caliber Supply Chain Managers
- Create and deliver long-term and medium-term planning documents for Amazon Air
- Advise VP level leadership on strategic decisions
- Collaborate with Senior Manager and Director level leaders across the organization and influence medium/long-term decisions across business units to yield the best outcomes for customers
- Lead ad hoc strategic projects including but not limited to evaluations of strategic partnership opportunities and business cases for new technologies
About the team
Network Design is one of the primary pillars of the Network Planning (NWP) organization within AIR Supply Chain & Analytics. NWP owns the definition, creation and revision of operational plans from long-term (3+ years) up until a few days ahead of the day a flight is scheduled to take off. The organization is responsible for setting the course for AIR to keep raising the bar for customers by ensuring the best possible mix of fast speeds, low costs, as well as superior quality and reliability.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 7+ years of working cross functionally across several teams experience
- 10+ years of supply chain experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
