Amazon is seeking a Principal Product Manager in Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) who will be part of a start-up group that’s defining and rolling out tech products for our strategy organization.
We have big goals for the heavy bulky business and we want a Principal Product Manager who is excited about the early stages of a business and the impact they can make for our customers!

This role is part of the Worldwide AMXL Strategy/Product org which is designed to help Amazon improve and expand the delivery of large items and those requiring special handling and additional services for exceptional customer experience. This Principal Product manager will be a resourceful and confident team player who can think out of the box in an ambiguous problem space, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to build a program that will significantly impact Amazon’s warehousing and delivery capabilities globally.

Key job responsibilities
- Define business strategy and initiatives that will help us grow profitability and achieve topline growth.
- Write strategy proposals/product PRFAQ's and other artifacts to influence building right features and products.
- Own, build and drive strategy for global AMXL supply chain and be a key part of our business with Tech and Operations.
- Define the business and product strategy
- Manage prioritization and trade-offs for speed to market, performance and features.
- Promote data-driving decision making throughout the team.
- Address barriers through problem solving and coordination with stakeholders.
- Partner with other teams across Supply Chain and Business teams to identify and influence development of new products and services.
- Build and manage high quality product roadmaps based on your vision and strategy.
- Gain support for your strategy and roadmap from stakeholders by writing narratives and influencing peers and senior leadership.
- Communicate performance, articulate root-cause analysis and link to specific improvement areas.
- Up to 10% travel required


A day in the life
Problems include - How to grow FBA business, What differentiating features do we need to build to attract new sellers to Amazon, understand customer pain points and propose medium and long term solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- 10+ years of blending product and program management skills to execute strategic initiatives about process creation, standardization, and improvement experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience as a product manager or owner

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience owning technology products

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $145,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
