As member of the Operations Insights, Planning, Analytics and Technology (IPAT) team, this position will support Loss Pillar Reporting to provide insight to leadership and improve Cost To Serve.

The Finance Manager will partner with the World Wide Operations teams to deep dive data setup and provide actionable insight. The Finance Manager will need to be capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy, and hence needs to demonstrate a high degree of comfort with ambiguity besides holding a high bar on professional integrity.

This candidate will be responsible for retrieving data from fortune and hydra, development of financial models and developing the reporting framework. The role requires partnering with many internal teams to understand their business and drive accurate financial reporting and controls.

Loss pillar reporting is highly visible and requires strong communication skills with leadership.

- Establish reporting and planning process for loss pillar reporting.
- Conduct analysis to understand the E2E business and report to senior management.
- Deliver meaningful insight and practical recommendations through financial simulation and analysis to support decision making of senior management.
- Drive continuous innovation and communication to both your operations & other business partners.
- Driving process improvement and automation for planning, reporting and review process.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
