The successful candidate will have financial reporting experience, an operationally focused mindset and is interested in working in a fast paced, global organization. This role is expected to build a deep understanding of financial planning, reporting and analytics specifically in driving process excellence, growing reporting expertise & insight and innovating existing processes. Additionally, this role requires regular interaction with leadership from various product lines across the Devices and Services (D&S) organization and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Key job responsibilities
- Own and be the expert in all financial planning tools used to produce reports for corporate or business partners within the organization
- Drive process improvements and partner with the Fintech team to automate and simplify efforts for Devices and Services financial processes to drive efficiencies (reduced efforts and cycle times) and improved insight (accuracy and metrics)
- Create reporting that provides transparency and insights on key financial metrics to the Devices & Services leadership team.
- Lead Corporate Allocations Analysis and Process Improvement
- Participate in FP&A month-end processes specifically with close and guidance updates
- Participate in Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews
- Partner with various Device product lines to successfully deliver the annual budget, 3 Year Forecast and Quarterly Guidance
- Act as the controller of all financial forecast information and work with the product line teams to ensure financials are submitted accurately and timely
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
