The NASC team based in Bellevue, WA is responsible for the FP&A, investment strategy and new transportation initiatives for this operation. This is an exciting opportunity to partner cross-functionally to ensure proper controllership, informed decision making, innovation and sustainability in processes for a growing network. Key job responsibilities
- This role directly impacts the decision on billions of dollars of investments in Amazon transportation infrastructure. A successful candidate effectively influences business partners, provides sound and thoughtful recommendations, and manages competing priorities in a quickly changing environment. The candidate should demonstrate amazing analytical skills, ability to work with ambiguity and strong analytical and verbal and written communication skills as direct interaction with worldwide operations leadership is common.
- Partner with peers in engineering, real estate and procurement to collect key information to estimate investments in additional transportation capacity, and the return over this investment.
- Lead the development of financial models and supporting documentation to formalize investment decisions with Amazon leaders.
- Design and build processes that improve the level of automation and scalability of the aforementioned activities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
