The ability to work within and across large, independent teams across regions is a must. An implicit understanding of the balance needed between design creativity, technical development, communication and partner engagement will be required. The role will require working with ambiguous directions and technical details to create models and drawings that will become standardized and scalable for use by multiple different stakeholder teams.
Key job responsibilities
• Creation of sub-system design standards consisting of material handling equipment and modules
• Drawing sheet creation consisting of dimensioned and annotated views, notes, and tables.
• Creation of Revit families for complex systems
• Work independently with engineering teams to gather design inputs from multiple sources
• Running design review meetings with engineering partners to ensure accuracy of designs/drawings.
• Identifying opportunities to develop standard work practices for 3D workflows
• Driving innovation in work processes related to the creation and maintenance of specifications.
• Managing multiple simultaneous projects and ensuring projects stay within provided timelines.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other STEM field.
• 2+ years working in a fast-paced 3D design environment.
• Experience creating deliverable packets with multiple views while following templates and standards.
• Experience with parametric solid modeling.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, utilizing for both layout creation and/or family creation.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM 360/ACC, and Navisworks Manage.
• Exposure to layouts that utilize material handling equipment and controls devices
• Familiarity with creating dynamic models/designs with adjustable levels of detail
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently or within a group, and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous direction.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $157,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
