Amazon is seeking an experienced professional to join our Ocean and Air Product team to lead Revenue Management, Pricing, and Promotion Products. Pricing is a key lever in our product strategy, and the product's success depends on an effective pricing strategy. Qualified candidates will bring their product and pricing subject-matter expertise in global shipping products, either as a Freight Forwarder or NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), to drive growth from pricing and related initiatives.

Key job responsibilities
- Be the single-threaded owner for developing and executing the Pricing Strategy for Amazon Global Logistics freight products.
- Own the long-range roadmap for pricing tools.
- Analyze and validate data to ensure high data quality and reliable insights.
- Optimize existing processes and develop new scalable, repeatable processes and best practices.
- Gain support for strategy and roadmap from stakeholders by writing narratives and influencing peers and senior leadership to facilitate decision-making.
- Own the end-to-end process for price-setting, analysis, and decision-making, applying disciplined data analytics to maximize profitability and adoption.
- Predict customer behavior at micro-market levels, fine-tune product pricing, and adjust availability to maximize revenue.
- Own regular monitoring and reporting of pricing performance at regional and product levels.
- Partner with finance and financial automation teams to factor in accurate and up-to-date cost information for pricing decisions.
- Partner with procurement and legal teams to ensure prices align with all regional and local tax and legal guidelines.
- Develop, research, and analyze pricing strategies; test and evaluate current and proposed pricing strategies.
- Identify trends at their root while understanding the broader context.

A day in the life
Your day-to-day will include a mix of tactical and strategic decisions. On the tactical side, you will ensure your team is well-structured to monitor market and booking trends and can make fast pricing decisions to support growth and revenue. You will manage the balance between adoption and margin based on changing business needs. You will set time to think about the future and plan the strategy for enhancing our revenue and setting pricing strategies for new products and geographies. We are entering a period of expansion into new origins and destinations, which will exponentially grow our portfolio complexity.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 12+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- 6+ years of team management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience engaging and influencing senior executives
- 5+ years of experience in pricing in the logistics/shipping industry as a freight forwarder or NVOCC

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA
- Experience working cross-functionally with UX design and software development teams
- 7+ years of experience in pricing, revenue management, or product management in the logistics/shipping industry, preferably as a freight forwarder or NVOCC
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability
- Deep understanding of the global logistics and shipping landscape, including market trends, competitive land
- Experience working with finance, procurement, and legal teams to ensure pricing alignment with cost, tax, and legal requirements
- Strong technical skills, including familiarity with pricing analytics tools and financial modeling

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $160,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $265,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
