As a Data Scientist in Global Logistics, you'll start your day by reviewing the latest data trends and system performance metrics. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
- 2+ years of data/research scientist, statistician or quantitative analyst in an internet-based company with complex and big data sources experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of statistical packages and business intelligence tools such as SPSS, SAS, S-PLUS, or R
- Experience with clustered data processing (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Map-reduce, and Hive)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $97,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
