As a System Development Engineer on our engineering team, you’ll have a unique opportunity to build new innovative products and across our education programs.

Beyond a strong technical background and proven track record of Salesforce, a successful candidate will have experience driving strategy and influencing executive leadership. You will be joining a new team that will look to you as the Salesforce Development expert and we are looking for individuals willing to collaborate with and mentor new members. We are looking for someone that is a self-starter, someone that approaches complex business questions with data and curiosity, and a person that dives below the surface to identify the root cause and "so what" rather than just superficial trends. Key job responsibilities
* Engage with systems that are at the cutting edge of technology, pioneering new methods and approaches to delivering software, serving customers, and enabling large, distributed, worldwide educational program teams.
* Work directly with other engineering and product teams to identify opportunities to share learnings, technology and best practices across all teams
* Perform technical analysis, level-of-effort estimation, development, implementation of applications with necessary customizations and integration
* Provide support across systems and related integrations native to the Salesforce ecosystem
* Troubleshoot and fix defects for planned releases and production issues
* Leverage strong communication skills and a passion for using data and software to drive business decisions at scale
* Ownership of key technical aspects of the Salesforce platform, including custom development
* Build/deploy new solutions and capabilities with new and existing Salesforce instances.
* Responsible for developing in Apex code, Visualforce pages, Lightning components, and other technologies to build customized solutions that support business requirements and drive key business decisions

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- Experience with Linux/Unix

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
