The AWS Global Sales Operations team is obsessed with delivering results for customers and colleagues alike as we shape, build and support the businesses’ operating mechanisms and cadences. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.

The ideal candidate has strong financial acumen, sales strategy experience, a natural curiosity, and a deep analytical background. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, ability to manage and prioritize in a complex and ambiguous environment, and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Key job responsibilities
- Solid understanding of business management and financial processes including forecasting, pipeline management and deal reviews is essential.
- Reporting: prepare timely, clear, concise, and insightful narratives and executive reports synthesizing key results, trends, customer anecdotes, and recommendations
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve reporting processes, formats, and content to better meet the needs of the executive team
- Communication: regularly communicate with executives to provide updates on initiatives and operational performance
- Cross Functional Collaboration: work closely with other departments (Finance, Global Business Operations, and Reporting and Analytics) to provide leadership and guidance to the operations team to ensure alignment and coordination on operational initiatives
- Data Analytics: Collect and analyze data to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
- Strategy Development: Collaborate with the executive team to develop strategies based on data and insights
- Process alignment and improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and improvement in operations

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 7+ years of sales operations or equivalent experience
- Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- Experience engaging with executives and managing stakeholders in a matrixed organization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience presenting to senior leadership
- Experience working in a high growth technology compnay
- Experience with building and leading operational cadences
- Ability to quickly turn ideas into written narratives to clearly articulate plans and outcomes
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communications skills
