Are you experienced in mission critical infrastructures and are looking to contribute to a global data center team? AWS is looking for an exceptional individual to lead our global Colocation data center commissioning and construction (ie. “build”) quality program. This team oversees the metrics, data analytics, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives of the program. This team collaborates with planning, engineering, build, and operations teams regionally to prioritize.
Key job responsibilities
The responsibilities include owning the challenges and strategies to provide impactful program analytics, identify gaps. You will guide your team to work cross-functionally to identify opportunities for improvement in cost savings, speed of delivery, customer satisfaction, vendor management, and more. Your team will index high on dealing with ambiguity, thinking big, and diving deep to allow for defining, justifying, and executing strategies that are identified through large data set analysis. You will think broadly and strategically in setting visions and ensuring program goals align with the larger organization. You will lead a team of program managers based globally to deliver results, and will be responsible to hire, build, and maintain a high-performing team and lead the safety culture by example. Utilizing industrial standards and company goals, you develop and manage quality-focused initiatives, manage and analyze metrics to drive innovation and continuous improvements. You will communicate and provide guidance to Finance during capital budgeting, making data-driven decisions to deliver predictable cost estimations. You will create standards and build consensus with a broad spectrum of stakeholders on cross-functional teams that will operate to deliver on the quality policy.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of experience in project management office (PMO) or related experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a people manager, including hiring, organizational planning, building a team, and promotions and performance management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of experience related to the Colocation data center industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of program management experience.
• Effective communication skills, detail oriented, highly organized, and able to work in high-stress environments to maintain calm and respectful interaction with multiple teams.
• Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook required; advanced knowledge of SharePoint (or similar) preferred.
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
