We are looking for a results-oriented individual to support the inventory planning teams in ensuring a high level of spare part availability. You will work daily with operation teams to manage server/networking ticketing queues and coordinate transfers of inventory between sites and countries, ensuring timely completion. In this role, you must be a self-starter, possess strong verbal and written communication skills. You must be detail-oriented and work independently to generate quality outputs in an ambiguous environment. You must have a professional demeanor and communicate appropriately with people at every level, from technicians to upper management.

Operating in a fast-moving environment, you will be required to work autonomously, taking complete control and responsibility for achieving downstream part availability. This role provides an opportunity to develop original ideas, approaches, and solutions in a competitive and ever-changing business climate.

Key job responsibilities
• Triage inflow and outflow of break/fix tickets for the Global Inventory Planning team. Validate ticket part request against bill of material. Update and reassign pending break/fix tickets with part recommendations.

• Monitor and review inbound purchase order data, track inbound deliveries and ensure logistics receiving accuracy within the inventory management and financial systems.

• Engage Logistics teams regarding inventory discrepancies and obtain an estimated part delivery time to site.

• Log delivery issues into a tracker for fulfillment/ordering escalation and resolution.

• Monitor report, to update ticket coding inaccuracies and update delivery status, tracking details, and ETAs within ticket.

• Interface with Global Planning team members regarding part availability and ticketing trends.

• Work closely with global Logistics teams for domestics and international inventory part transfers.

• Provide updates and feedback to internal and external teams on a daily basis.

• Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods/tools.

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries.

• Sustain productivity metrics while managing multiple assignments at once, deal with ambiguity and rapidly-changing priorities.


A day in the life
You will be part of the AWS Supply Chain team working with Global Stakeholders, Data Center Operation, TPMs, and System Engineers to address inbound tickets within a 3-day SLA. Our Inventory Planning Support Tech, at times, will be the first point of contact for our Infra-Ops teams globally. In this role you will communicate often with operational teams who require guidance or deep dives associated with part availability, part allocation details, and statuses of tickets pending triage.

Infra-Ops Planning & Sourcing (IPS) team aims to anticipate the need before it happens. If our pro-activity fails we re-actively fulfill the need. Hence, we deliver this service to our customers via 1- advance planning and/or 2- tickets. You will work cross-functionally to address tickets entering into our primary ticketing queues. As an HW Commodity Specialist you will address inbound tickets by providing timely updates and by reporting inventory issues found virtually that will impact part availability.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent
• 1+ years of touch-typing skill or data entry experience
• 1+ years of Supply Chain or Inventory Management experience
• 1+ years of experience working with ERP or other Inventory Management Systems
• 1+ year experience working with Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in data centers or similar technology company
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
