Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the Customer. You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create truly innovative solutions built on AWS.

It is expected to work from one of the above locations (or customer sites) at least 1+ days in a week. This is not a remote position. You are expected to be in the office or with customers as needed.

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with Polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of experience building and implementing technical infrastructure and services, and/or consulting experience advising such operations
- 2+ years in a technical leadership role e.g. Engineering/Technology Lead, Senior Solutions Architect, Lead Architect/Engineer, etc.
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade architectures for US government agencies, enterprise grade solution and collaborating with development teams to break down functional pieces into a customer implementation roadmap
- Strong background/ experience working with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (e.g. SAFe, TOGAF, Business Capability maps, Value Maps) and management frameworks (e.g. ITIL v3 processes, COBIT, CMMI)
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade architectures for U.S. Government agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
- Broad based technology experience including cloud computing, applications development, DevOps, IoT, relational databases, NoSQL databases, analytics, networking, security, storage, compute, continuous deployment, containers, and management and monitoring.
- Visible IT Industry thought leadership on relevant topics related to enterprise IT infrastructure and adoption.
- Use of AWS services in distributed environments with Enterprise Software.
- Hands-on experience with cloud migration initiatives as an AWS customer or consulting with a customer on their IT transformations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
