To meet the growing demand for Amazon Web Services globally, the AWS Logistics team is seeking a dynamic, organized, and customer focused Program Manager.
The DOT (Department of Transportation) Program Manager (PM) is responsible for managing the implementation and ongoing operations of critical DOT compliance programs within the organization. The DOT PM will oversee all aspects of the program lifecycle, from needs analysis and requirements gathering to building implementation plans, overseeing deployment, and driving continuous improvement. They will serve as the subject matter expert, translating complex DOT regulations into actionable plans and procedures.
As a champion of DOT compliance, the DOT PM is responsible for collaborating closely with business and technical teams to deliver world-class solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible while maintaining a strong operational focus. They will work closely with multiple business units to identify, define, and specify solutions meeting operational needs, then partner with global stakeholders to deliver those solutions. The DOT PM will be the face and voice for over-the-road compliance, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of successes, risks, and project status, and tailoring communications to specific audiences to communicate clearly and concisely to both business and technical stakeholders. They will continuously monitor program performance using key metrics and identify opportunities for optimization, making data-driven recommendations to leadership. The DOT Program Manager will continuously monitor for changes and updates to proactively prepare the organization, and will regularly collaborate closely with internal audit and risk management teams to identify potential areas of vulnerability and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
In addition to these cross-functional responsibilities, the DOT Program Manager will serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert on DOT regulations and compliance requirements, including FMCSA and other relevant rules. As the SME, the DOT Program Manager will develop and deliver comprehensive training to employees on DOT compliance policies, procedures, and best practices. The DOT Program Manager will document detailed program processes, workflows, and procedures to serve as the institutional knowledge base for DOT compliance, and provide regular, insightful reporting to leadership on program status, risks, mitigation strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Finally, the DOT PM will stay up-to-date on industry trends, benchmark against peers, and identify leading practices that continuously enhance the compliance program.
