Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The mission of Project Kuiper’s Government Solutions (KGS) is to leverage Kuiper and provide high speed, low latency, and secure satellite broadband services to United States and allied government customers. This position will be working within the Product Management Team within Kuiper Government Solutions.

Key job responsibilities
Sr Product Manager – Technical focusing on Government customers. This position will manage a family of products for RF products including mobile customer terminals (CTs) within Kuiper’s broadband space network. This position works closely with the engineering team to ensure that the product will meet customer requirements and presents a good business opportunity.

Responsibilities:
• Write product roadmaps, product descriptions, and requirements for products
• Develop Product sheets, help define what the products should be and how to package Kuiper services to meet requirements of multiple government customer verticals
• Create detailed product requirements documents based on an intimate knowledge of the specific customer verticals (local, state, federal, DoD, intelligence community) including use case prioritization, feature definition and product roadmap
• Work with leadership team to set the customer strategy and make appropriate high-judgment trade-offs between features and speed-to-launch
• Manage entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution and work with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver on that vision, e.g., business development, engineering, sales, finance, operations, international
• Research and identify new opportunities to innovate on behalf of our customers
• Anticipate bottlenecks, manage risk and escalations, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

Security Clearance: Candidates must have recent or active US Government security clearance of TS/SCI (with polygraph preferred) and be able to maintain a TS/SCI security clearance, so you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- 5+ years of experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- 5+ years of experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- 5+ years of experience managing technical products or online services
- 5+ years of experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master’s or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Communications Systems, related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with satellite systems and operations
- System design, architecture, and system integration background
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market.
