Key job responsibilities
We have an immediate opening for a Sr Solutions Architect to support the Kuiper Government Solutions (KGS) team focusing on DoD and National Security customers. This position will be based in in the Northern Virginia, Southern CA or Seattle, WA area. This position will be part of the KGS team working with Business Development and customers to define Kuiper Government family of products within Project Kuiper’s broadband space network for high throughput, low latency broadband communications. This is a unique opportunity to innovate and define groundbreaking communications technology with few legacy constraints. The team develops and designs the Kuiper Government products and analyzes performance such as for overall throughput, latency, and system availability. This team also works closely with customers, business development and the engineering team to ensure that the product will meet customer requirements and presents a good business opportunity for Kuiper Government.
Security Clearance: This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
A day in the life
• Work with business development and customers to help understand and refine their use cases and operational problems
• Work with Engineering to invent new products or product features
• Write product roadmaps and product description documents
• Create detailed product requirements documents based on an intimate knowledge of customers (local, state, federal, DoD, intelligence) including use case prioritization
• Work with leadership to set customer strategy and make high-judgment trade-offs between features and speed-to-launch
• Research and identify new opportunities to innovate for customers
• Anticipate bottlenecks, manage risk and escalations, and balance business needs versus technical constraints

You will join the dynamic, high-performing Product Management team within Kuiper Government Solutions with a mission to define and field Products and Services that will delight Government customers globally.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Familiarity with satellite systems, satellite communications, and satellite operations
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- Experience with wireless products and network system design, architecture, and system integration background or solid understanding
- Experience in wireless communications development or management
