Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The mission of Project Kuiper’s Government Solutions (KGS) is to leverage Kuiper and provide high speed, low latency, and secure satellite broadband services to United States and allied government customers. This position will be working on the Product Management Team within Kuiper Government Solutions with significant interaction with the Kuiper Government Business Development team and Government customers.

Key job responsibilities
Sr. Solutions Architect to support the Kuiper Government Solutions (KGS) team focusing on DoD and National Security customers. This position will be part of the KGS Product team working with Business Development, customers and the engineering team to ensure that products will meet customer requirements.

In this role you will:
• Work with business development and customers to help understand and refine their use cases and operational problems to solve
• Work with Engineering to invent new products or product features
• Write product roadmaps, product description documents, and engineering requirements documents for products and product families
• Develop Product sheets, help define what the products should be and how to package Kuiper services to meet requirements of multiple government customer verticals
• Create detailed product requirements documents based on an intimate knowledge of the specific customer verticals (local, state, federal, DoD, intelligence community) including use case prioritization, feature definition and product roadmap
• Work with leadership team to set the customer strategy and make appropriate high-judgment trade-offs between features and speed-to-launch
• Research and identify new opportunities to innovate on behalf of our customers
• Anticipate bottlenecks, manage risk and escalations, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

Security Clearance: Candidates must have recent or active US Government security clearance of TS/SCI (with polygraph preferred) and be able to maintain a TS/SCI security clearance, so you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ experience managing satellite technologies and satellite communications systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master’s or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Communications Systems, related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with wireless products and network system design, architecture, and system integration background or solid understanding
