This role will support the procurement needs for Project Kuiper, including for both commercial and government entities. The primary responsibilities will include executing procurement actions, managing supplier relationships, tracking metrics, and supporting contract management activities.
Key job responsibilities
In this role you will:
•Manage the full procurement cycle from requirements gathering to order delivery and payment
•Collaborate with stakeholders to define procurement needs and specifications
•Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate options
•Develop solicitation documents (RFPs, RFQs) and manage the bidding process
•Lead negotiations with suppliers on pricing, terms and conditions
•Issue purchase orders and agreements, ensuring compliance with policies
•Partner with Legal to draft and review contracts as needed
•Work with Quality to inspect delivered goods and ensure conformance to requirements
•Implement and manage the supplier onboarding process
•Build and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers
•Monitor supplier performance using KPIs like cost, quality, delivery, service levels
•Oversee corrective actions for non-performing or non-compliant suppliers
•Resolve supplier disputes, inquiries and approve/deny claims
•Conduct periodic business reviews with strategic suppliers
•Define and track procurement metrics (e.g. spend, lead times, supplier scorecards)
•Analyze data to identify improvement opportunities and cost savings
•Develop reports, visualizations and presentations to share with leadership
•Document processes and procedures related to procurement activities
This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years experience in procurement, sourcing or - supplier management
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, - Operations or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Lean/Six Sigma or process improvement certification
- Experience with US government procurement regulations (e.g. FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR)
- Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, WorkDocs or similar tools
- Prior experience in the telecommunications/satellite industry
