Amazon is looking for a Sr. Marketing Manager, Worldwide News Content to join our Seller Strategic Communications (SSC) team. This individual will play a critical role in our efforts to envision and deliver a best-in-class communications experience on Seller News.

This WW News Content Sr. Marketing Manager will lead the vision, content strategy, metrics, and approach for Seller News, working with teams across SPS and Amazon to create, develop, and influence content relevant for News, and ensure high quality. You will establish program best practices, lead change initiatives, and implement solutions that benefit the seller experience and build internal mechanisms and success KPIs for increased visibility and auditing. This role is supported by an editorial team that will assist in editing articles for News, who you will partner closely with.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in business and metrics management, act as a center of excellence to increase the quality of our communications, and manage rhythms of business and editorial calendars. The ability to put yourself in a seller’s shoes and advocate for the seller experience is essential to success. Excellent communication skills, bias for action with clear prioritization, nuance with content and rigor with insights, and an ability to thrive in ambiguity are required.



Key job responsibilities
• Lead the strategy and vision, development, and implementation of our Seller News strategy
• Collaborate and build partnerships with other internal stakeholders, communications, PR, legal, and business teams
• Work across teams to drive content for the selling partner community
• Ensure that the range of key messages, updates, and content that are most relevant to our selling partners, are surfaced in a way that is valuable to the seller experience
• Create and maintain appropriate and consistent brand and voice
• Demonstrate high judgment, particularly in narrow timeframes
• Ensure activities deliver against core business objectives and articulate key messages
• Advocate for the Seller Experience
• Manage complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges and is able to deal with ambiguity
• Develop test plans and defines solutions for News Content, experiment with new types of content
• Use data, insights, and selling partner feedback to evaluate program performance and identify improvement opportunities
• Regularly report out progress and performance measurement against goals and targets in weekly, monthly and quarterly business review forums



About the team
The Selling Partner Communities (SPC) organization builds lasting connections with, and drives the success of our Selling Partners (SPs). SPC's products, such as Seller News and Forums, are actively used by millions of SPs worldwide to engage with Amazon and foster an active and inclusive community and information exchange among SPs. These products also provide valuable insights into SP sentiment and issues. We are currently re-imagining how to enable our SPs to engage with other sellers, form Communities, and interact with Amazon.

Seller Strategic Communications (SSC) works to ensure that every communication SPs receive from Amazon informs and empowers them to be successful in our stores, reinforces a strong business partnership with Amazon, and fosters SP trust.

The role will report to the Manager of Content Programs, who oversees content quality and relevancy initiatives across Seller outbound communications.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
- Experience with test and learn, marketing optimization, and experimentation
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and work cross-functionally to align to solve shared problems
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs and content
- A healthy curiosity about what's going on within an organization and know how to put out your feelers to the right places and translate the obtained information into user friendly communication
- Able to look for new and engaging ways to communicate
- Strong news judgment, excellent writing skills, and experience leading newsroom(s)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
