This role develops "Think Big" strategies, manages multiple projects, leads SDI communications, and drives operational excellence.
The leader collaborates across internal teams (Procurement, Finance, Product & Tech, Legal, Policy, Communications) and engages external stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, and non-government organizations to advance Amazon's SDI initiative.
Key job responsibilities
Develop and execute strategies to expand Amazon’s SDI program to other core businesses and subsidiaries
• Collaborate with SDI leaders across Amazon to ensure governance and share best practices
• Partner with other SDI ABU teams to develop and implement new mechanisms to attract and engage disadvantaged suppliers
• Oversee development of SDI expansion monthly reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with visibility at the highest level of the corporation; identify and implement reporting efficiencies
• Identify, foster, and maintain strategic external partnerships and resources to support the success of disadvantaged suppliers
• Independently leads through ambiguity – serves as key point of escalation
• Designing and implementing strategies to help employees grow and develop, and to align their skills organizational goals

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree • 10+ years of in supply chain owning / driving a program, strategy, multi-year operational plan, goal, metrics, and end to end delivery • 10+ years in SDI or Responsible Sourcing • Working with global cross functional and partner teams • Analytical and problem solving, implementation of improvements and repeatable processes, driving automation or standardization, conducting business reviews to senior and C-suite level leadership • Communication proficiency, especially writing, presentations and social media • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Masters of Business Administration or Supply Chain Management • Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality • International Supply Management Certified Supplier Diversity Professional
