We are seeking a seasoned insights professional to join our growing Global Customer Insights team, as the Regional Workplace Research Lead. As a Regional Workplace Research Lead in GREF, you will guide a team of three mixed-method researchers to develop and sustain research programs for collecting, synthesizing, and communicating foundational insights across each of Amazon’s global regions.

As the Lead, you are a customer-obsessed leader who is deeply curious and constantly strives to ask better questions. You are adept at building relationships across a variety of cross functional partners, and demonstrate the ability to deeply understand business needs and build prioritized research plans. In this role, you will apply your research expertise to guide, develop and grow talented team members, and enable your team to deliver timely and relevant insights.

Key job responsibilities
- Guide the design and execution of research projects that inform regional workplace program strategies and experiences
- Provide regular guidance on research best practices and timely feedback, to grow and develop effective research leaders
- Prioritize team focus to meet the most immediate and impactful needs of regional program and initiative teams, driving an effective regional research roadmap
- Identify synergies, patterns, and larger opportunities or implications for GREF across regional research projects
- Synthesize research insights and distill them into compelling narratives that frame problems and illuminate opportunities for broad consumption across technical and non-technical audiences
- Build and foster cross functional relationships to drive alignment on opportunities and next steps
- Continuously evaluate and improve research programs to ensure consistent delivery of actionable and relevant insights, continuously refining strategies and approaches to meet business needs and evolving ways of work
- Serve as a subject matter expert, responsible for coaching and mentoring teams and stakeholders on best practices in user research methods and techniques, as we continue to grow the Customer Insights capability within GREF

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years conducting user research, with a strong emphasis on strategic program development
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Psychology, Anthropology, Behavioral Economics, Data Science, or 4+ years of field research experience
- Deep experience in a range of research methods, both generative and evaluative types of research, including concept development, evaluation, and refinement studies
- A portfolio that illustrates how your research informed decision-making, showcasing deliverables, and your ability to extract actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative data

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- You bring a deep understanding of both qualitative and quantitative methodologies
- Ability to independently drive multiple concurrent projects in an agile environment
- Excellent written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences
- Direct experience using digital research platforms e.g., Dscout, Qualtrics
- Strategic, business-building approach to user research
- Experience in employee-based research a plus
- Vendor management experience
- Research agency experience a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $226,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
