As a Sourcing and Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of products, services, or goods. In parallel, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies to secure the best suppliers and vendors for our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, supply chain, and product development, to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, help negotiate contracts, and optimize the sourcing process.
The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills to manage vendor contracts, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement. The ultimate goal of this role is to ensure the availability of high-quality products or services while achieving cost savings and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Key job responsibilities
- Negotiate and establish contractual agreements, pricing, and terms with vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Manage ongoing vendor relationships, including conducting regular performance evaluations, resolving conflicts, and fostering productive collaborations.
- Monitor vendor performance metrics, such as delivery times, quality of products or services, and customer satisfaction, and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define and communicate vendor requirements, specifications, and expectations.
- Coordinate with procurement and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor payments, invoices, and reconciliations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact vendor management and sourcing strategies.
- Conduct regular market research to identify potential new vendors and suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and assess their suitability for the organization.
- Lead vendor contract negotiations and renewals, working closely with legal and procurement teams to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Develop and maintain a vendor performance database, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, to track vendor performance and support decision-making processes.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and efficiencies in vendor management and procurement processes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
- Experience in supply chain
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience leading process improvements
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $77,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
