In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the user experience through the written content that guides employees as they discover, enroll in, and manage their benefits. Working alongside product designers, researchers, and benefits managers, you will craft intuitive, user-focused content that helps employees navigate the product, understand their available options, take necessary actions, and resolve issues. You will develop and maintain comprehensive style guides, ensuring a seamless and consistent experience end-to-end. Additionally, you will conduct user research and A/B testing to continuously refine the written content and optimize the overall user experience.

Key job responsibilities
- Write and edit compelling UX copy for new benefits features, including product descriptions, regulatory notifications, navigation, and tooltips
- Anticipate user needs to craft concise, actionable copy for complex concepts and desired actions
- Ensure all product content aligns with brand, legal, and accessibility requirements
- Collaborate closely with product and UX teams to align content across the user experience
- Conduct user research and content testing to inform and improve your writing
- Develop and maintain comprehensive copywriting guidelines and style guides
- Advocate for user needs and UX best practices with product owners and stakeholders
- Leverage data and user feedback to guide impactful content recommendations
- Influence product strategy through thoughtful discussions with key stakeholders
- Continuously optimize content based on user feedback and performance metrics
- Establish and maintain a tone of voice aligned with the Amazon brand, tailored to employees

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years writing experience in roles like public relations, communications, or technical writing
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical or functional content into engaging, user-friendly material
- Proven track record of delivering content projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Exceptional copywriting and editing skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, UX Design, or related field
- Experience writing UX content for complex products
- Experience crafting simple, clear, and concise instructions to guide users through user flows
- Working knowledge of user experience design principles
- Familiarity with structured authoring environments
- Writing experience in the US healthcare or employee benefits sectors
