Are you interested in sharing your cloud domain expertise, and spreading your passion for these technologies with other technology enthusiasts? Amazon Web Services (AWS) Training and Certification is looking for a Cloud Technologist (Technical Curriculum Developer), with an interest in building engaging technical training content for our subscription customers.
Customers are rapidly adopting AWS as a way to build scalable and cost-effective web and IT solutions for their businesses. To do that effectively, they need training to help build their technical skills and develop proficiency with AWS. AWS Training & Certification is developing technical, digital offerings, simulations, assessments, and hands-on labs that get customers deep into AWS technologies. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn, teach and play, as you develop training offerings.
Our Cloud Technologists must have excellent narrative/script writing skills, healthy technical domain expertise, and the ability to translate technical content into easy-to-understand digital learning. You will work with program management, video production, training instructors, and subject matter experts from across AWS, to design and develop new course offerings. The ideal candidate will be an organized self-starter with a strong bias for action, sense of ownership, training or technical documentation experience, and above all, a passion for learning.
Key job responsibilities
• You will be on camera! You will present what you create. Our Cloud Technologists write their own scripts and present their own content (of course we have resources to help).
• You will collaborate and work across teams to understand requirements and build with Subject Matter Experts across AWS (including Developers, Trainers, Support Engineers, Professional Services, and Solutions Architects).
• You get to play! Dive into AWS technologies and solutions, covering domains such as Big Data, Web Applications, Security, Networking, High Performance Computing, Storage, Databases, Enterprise Applications, Migration Strategies and other solution areas, to understand the services and develop effective training offerings.
• You get to make things happen! Whether you’re building relationships with service teams to shape content, or facilitating requirements gathering sessions to define innovations on how training is absorbed, you’ll be a key influencer on how AWS educates customers on services and features.
• Develop lab exercises and code samples for our technical training offerings.
• Prepare and participate in quality assurance reviews of technical training courses.
• Use data and customer feedback to shape the development and production of creative technical training courses.
• Travel required for course production, events, and team meetings. (<50%).
